Cooking Outside

I love cooking outside! And whenever there is oportunity, I try to use it.

This was our Beltaine dinner and consisted of stir fried vegetable mix of fresh zuchini, yellow and red bell peppers, onions, potatoes and garlic. Lots of garlic! And of course of moose steaks, marinated in soy sauce, garlic, olive oil, red wine and some bbq sauce.

The secret to a good outdoors prepared meal is the temperature, not too high or too low flames underneath the pan and a good pan. We use the traditional Scandinavian outdoor pan called Muurikka.

Nothing tastes better than a moose steak with veggies made on open fire, eaten under the stars and in company of howling huskies.

Bon Apetit!
