The Viewpoint Trail, a Tangle and New Harnesses

What a strange title, you wonder? Watch this video from September 22 training run and you´ll see it all! :)

In this video, the team will take you on the Viewpoint Trail, where you will not only see how hard these guys are working, and get introduced to some of them, but also experience a dog tangle.

Katerina also talks about the new revolutionary style of harnesses we use to prevent harness rubs on the dogs´s armpits, which is a common problem for most distance sled dogs in heavy training.

Introduction to our 2010-11 Training Season

We have some exciting news to share.

This year, we´ve decided to do something extra for our friends and fans!

We want you to be closer to our team than ever before. We want you to feel as if you were sitting on the ATV, or riding along on the sled, as we prepare the Kipp d´Amundsen Team for this year´s races!

And an exciting season it should be! -- The 27 canine athletes in the main string pool are eager, happy, enthusiastic and always ready to roll, and we share their enthusiasm and excitement.

We´ve been busy finishing off a number of building projects outside, before the permanent freeze arrives, so updating of the blog had to wait.

But in the meantime, we´ve filmed a number of videos, in which we share news of the training progress, stories, some of the training methods we use, introduce the huskies and generally talk about our team and kennel, our philosophy and dog care.

And all of these videos will be gradually posted on the blog, along with pictures from the training and some more updates.

So here goes the first video, which launches the whole series. Hope you´ll enjoy it!
