It´s Show Time -- Krtek wins another CAC!

This past (long) weekend, the show season started for us.
To Jachym´s HUGE relief and happiness, I left him at home and went together with friend Malin Aspaas, who owns one of our H litter puppies - Hidalgo.
I must clearly say, that this wasn´t just any show weekend, it was a girls´ ride and sort of a holiday! :)
Wednesday we drove down to the show ground with Malin´s dog truck full of 2 greenland dogs and five siberians. We slept in tent and practiced some real camping out (in rain) before the thursday show in Norberg.
Judge: Arvid Goransson, Sweden, siberians entered: 35
Huggy Bear and Hidalgo´s show debut went great, although Huggy Bear was totally terrified by samoyeds, who barked constantly, and specifically one, who attacked from his crate. What made them so angry, I wonder?
Hidalgo beat his brother and got a HP (price of honor) as the only one in the male puppy class, and became best male puppy. He was beat for the best of breed puppy by another friend - Sofia Holmgren´s Aslakgarden´s Askungen Amber, who is a daughter to our Balto (Nay-La-Chee´s Chill Out Balto). Congratulations Amber and Sofia!
Granite got first prize and placed as second best male in open class, with a very nice critic.
And Krtek? (top right photo) She DID IT again! Our sweet Krtecek won open class, got a CK (CAC quality) and won best bitch, BOS (best of oposite sex)! That earned her already second CAC, which is her second show championship point. Now only one last point remains for her to become a Swedish show champion, plus a result from a race. WOW! Within a year, two CACs! :) Yes, we are totally proud and very thankful to Malin and Sofia for the handling of Krtek!
Right after the show we moved to Bjursas, where we rented a lovely cabin (the same as each year during the breed specialty) together with our friends Sofia, Anna Sara and Solveg Holmgren, from Aslakkgarden´s kennel.
The show in Bjursas on Saturday (under judge Jan Stäv, SWE, 75 siberians entered) went well, Huggy Bear did a real great job in the ring, with a bit of training on Friday, and got a HP plus placed as second best male puppy. The best male puppy and BOS puppy goes AGAIN to his brother Hidalgo! We are very proud breeders.
Krtek placed as fourth best female in class, and Granite was hero of the day this time. Although being only 4th best male, he received CK and that all eventhough he started severly limping in the ring, during the judging. He must have somehow injured his right shoulder as it was painful when I stretched it. But despite that, the judge liked him so much, that he placed him so high and with a CK. I was very proud of Granite, who loves shows and fought bravely. Thank you so much Anna Sara, for handling him so nicely!

I had a splendid time, made splendid not just because of the results, but mainly because of the group of friends that I could spend the time with, over the weekend. Malin with Hidalgo, Ola with Lisa (Icey Blizzard Kipp d´Amundsen), Richard Karlsson, the Holmgrens and their Balto puppies, Susan and Roger. We live so remote, that we often meet our friends just couple times a year, so this was a very special chance. Over all a very pleasant and successful weekend!
And here come a few pictures (more comming in Picasa online album soon):
