Scratch

Just wanted to let you know, that we are all fine and very thankful for all your wishes, messages and cheering us on!

Arriving to the halfway checkpoint after 8 hours and 1 minute on the trail
.

The decision to scratch was not an easy one to make (really, I don´t think they ever are), but even after catching up on some sleep, I still feel it was the right one.

The dogs made me very proud during this tough race, they were ready to roll after only couple hours of rest, no muscle or wrist injuries from the punchy trail.
It comforts me to know, that they would have finish the whole course, if asked to.

I will write more about our experience and decision to scratch later, now let me thank to all who make this great event possible, to congratulate my fellow competitors to finishing this challenging adventure, and to wish safe travel to those still on the trail.

Despite the hardships, we had a great time and learned a lot!

The team after three hours of resting.
Main leaders Galena and Tazlina, asking "what´s next, mom?"
