Lecture on Folk Herbalism Invitation

It is  my pleasure to invite you to my upcoming lecture, hosted by ABF in Strömsund:

FOLK HERBALISM: A thousand year old practice of self care with medicinal plants and home remedies

In our beautiful Jämtland we have so many wild plants and herbs growing all around us in clean nature.

Did you know that almost each and every one of them can help you or your animals in some way, when we have the proper knowledge about them?

And did you know that it is actually more simple to learn and begin practicing folk herbalism and herbal self care than it may seem?

In this lecture I will talk about the ancient tradition of herbalism and how we all can simply, safely, sustainably and cost effectively support our health and build a home apothecary by inviting herbs and traditional folk herbal practice back into our life.

Specifically we will take a look at:

• What is Herbalism (history and tradition
• Difference between Folk Herbalism and Herbal Medicine
• Folk Herbalism in practice
• How to learn Herbalism

When: Tuesday March 26, 2019

Time: 18:30 to 21:00

Where: Café Saga, Strömsund

Entry fee: 150Kr per person, including fika (the famous Swedish word for a coffee and snack time)

This lecture will be in Swedish language, but the powerpoint presentation will have both English and Swedish text, so even if you are not perfectly fluent in Swedish, you have a chance to understand well.
